UNLOCKING THE POWER OF FOOTBALL – SEEKING TO TRANSFORM LIVES
Through our years of experience in helping to develop youth, one of the best tools we have found is the game of football! In the right environment, with the right coaches and guidance, it is a game of discipline, commitment, organisation and manners – and can provide practical life skills and character development.
Furthermore, it is a game which many of our youth love and find it to be a fun escape from the pressures they face, forming lasting relationships with like-minded youth and the mentors at hand. For our youth, it often provides a productive alternative to the temptations and dangers of street life.
The “beautiful game” has the potential to be life-transforming, from the many skills gained and more so, the mentorship provided by our passionate coaches and community brotherhood formed.
On the back of the regular football coaching provided by the Yaseen Sports Foundation, we are now looking to host our next football tournament – and we are asking you to support this by your generous donations!
Case study
Muhammad Tellia is a 16-year old attendee of the weekly YSF football coaching. He aims to be a successful football athlete in the future. Before being sponsored by the YSF, he felt like he was in the wrong environment with the wrong people. Muhammad now feels like he has found a more fulfilling purpose by pursuing his footballing ambition. “I feel like the coaching sessions have changed my life for the better and helping me achieve my dreams”.
