📢 CALLING ALL CREATIVE WRITERS!
🤩 Do you want to prepare for Ramadan, exercise your creativity, AND win amazing prizes?
💡 We’re excited to launch our Youth Creativity Challenge 2023!
❤️🔥 With Ramadan around the corner, we want to hear your reflections on the Holy Month, through your poetry, prose, and spoken word performances.
✒️ Grab your pens. Practice your performance. This is your chance to share your voice.
🎁 Amazing prizes will be awarded to the top three submissions, chosen by our talented judges: Annotate (poet/writer/screenwriter/director) and Ilyas Mao (acapella composer and producer).
⚡️Participant age range: 15-25
⚡️Submission Deadline: April 14th
⚡️Results Day: April 21st / World Creativity and Innovation Day
📜Conditions
🗣️ Spoken word:
Participants must submit either a video or an audio file (max. 3 minutes) along with the written version of the performed piece (PDF or Word Doc). Participants will not be judged on visual elements.
✍️ Creative Writing:
Participants must submit either a poem (max. 100 lines) or a prose piece (max. 3000 words) as a PDF or Word Doc.
💫 General:
Participants must be between 15-25 years of age. Participants may live anywhere in the world. Submissions must include a statement (no more than 150 words) about the piece.
Submissions must adhere to the competition theme (“Ramadan”) and be original and unpublished work (submissions will undergo plagiarism checkers; previous publication includes on or in a newspaper, newsletter, magazine, anthology, chapbook, book, website, electronic magazine, personal blog, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, or YouTube).
Participants may only submit one piece to the competition.
